It's Hard To Say Good Bye

It was Ashraff's second weeks at kindee. He still had hard time to admit the new environment. May be it too strange for him, strange ascent, strange people, everything stranges for him. And for me I felt too odd by sitting in this place among kids around me. Actually they are lovely kids. Always ask many things, ask some help, ask me to push the swing, or helps them finishing their carpentry job. In spite of I was always can’t catch what they said coz of their ascent, they were still keep talking to me. Till some of them quite close to me like Thomas, Janefee, Criystal, Teegan and some others. I had noticed that Ashraff had difficulties to be friend with them. He preferred to play by himself but always keep eying on me, just to make sure I was still there.

That day, her teacher Kim Holland gave some brilliant ideas. He asked me to leave him there for a short times and coming back without his knowing. I had tried that idea but after half an hour his teacher rang me to come back coz Ashraff became too upset. I’d keep on without gave up until almost 3 weeks. And the last day before Easter break I asked his daddy to send Ashraff and guess what had happened.... his daddy just leaved him there and said good bye. And that day Ashraff stayed at kindee without crying at all. So what on earth did he keep cried for the whole 3 weeks, kurang asam punya anak bertuah. But I’m still nervous to wait until new semester will start, will he cry again???? Tungguuuuu....

Ashraff & Mummy's First Day Of Kindergarten

Suddenly I’m getting upset, “my baby is growing up”. And from upset it turns to be nervous as tomorrow he will start to go to kindee”. I’m not really sure what I’m feeling right now, worry? happy? nervous? afraid?. Actually it was the big moment that I’ve been waiting for a long time but I’m so worried when I was thinking about Ashraff. How could he handle it even everyday he keeps stuck on me? Even to play outside he always needs me to accompany him.

"Art is in his blood wakaka!!!!!"

I woke up around 5.30 am, hadn’t slept well last night. May be too excited to face Ashraff’s Big Day. Prepared breakfast and Ashraff’s lunch box. I was woke up Ashraff at 6.30 am, evacuated him from bed to the sofa and made sure Hi-5 program keep still on tv with unusual high volume in early morning. Ready hot milk in the bottle. Today I need to treat him bit different and more special just to make sure he will wake up in a good mood.

At 8.15 am we were already at the in front of Awapuni Kindergarten main gate. Ashraff looked bit quite then before as if he lost his confident, oOOO I’d got bad feeling about that. Coz too excited I left his bag and lunch box at home. Ops! Kinda bad starting. When I came back to kindee again I saw his daddy was standing outside the class. No Ashraff with him.
“Where Ashraff?”, I asked him.

“I left him with his teacher”, Daddy said.

“Is he alright”, keep on asking.
He only gave little shrugged. We get in to the class and saw Ashraff was standing still next to his teacher and new friends. He looked sad and almost crying. When he saw us he ran and hugged me and pleaded not to leave him there alone. Goshh, now I’m realise that today not only Ashraff’s first day of kindee but me either as I wasn’t attending kindergarten when I was kids. And I need to admit that my boy is no longer a baby.

Daylight Saving Time Just Ended

Day light Saving; "Early to bed, and early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise", (Benjamin Franklin)

Saturday night April 5, 2009 was the night for New Zealanders to put the clock back an hour as DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME came to an end. As usual DST was began on the first Sunday of April and ended on the last Sunday of October, so that extra week gives trick-or-treaters a precious extra hour of candy-gathering before sunset (Halloween night). It was the second time New Zealanders have had a three-week extension to our summer and not many are complaining.

Like others we enjoyed daylight saving time very much where we can do our daylight activities until the hand of the clock showing at 8.00 pm. Too much time for leisure activities ey. Cycling, wasting time in the park, walking along the River, more gathering with our Malaysian members and even more party.

Guess what time now? It was 8.00 pm and we still hanged out at the river just like it was still 5.00 pm. Pretty amazing ey. I had never imagined before that we could set the time onward and backward just like we could control the time.

Just to make it clear, let me share my little knowledge about Daylight Saving Time . DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME (DST; or summertime in British English as also called in many countries) is a way of getting more light out of the day by advancing clocks by one hour during the summer. During Daylight Saving Time, the sun appears to rise one hour later in the morning, when people are usually asleep anyway, and sets one hour later in the evening, seeming to stretch the day longer. Typically clocks are adjusted forward one hour near the start of spring and are adjusted backward in autumn.
